On Ruckus's arm Frank Wood is inked. And that one tattoo of The Good Wood of the East was noticed by a higher up at Humsting Records, " hey Larry isn't that Frank Wood on Ruckus's arm?" ... and next thing you know, Frank Wood and Crazy Mary are in flight to Vague Ass!! Bay Be! (Lost Vegas, Never Dare) And this is the true story of how Crazy Mary wound up bringing Frank Wood to Vegas to share a bill with The Vermin. Fear of Loafing. Hunting for stomp, son. The FULL TON xperience.
Meeting Mr. Wood at Lagaurdia.....he rolled up ready to fly with lit cigar. It did not take long for our Mr. Wood to be admonished. "This is an airplane." he was so kindly reminded by the flight attendnazi after uttering some words that apparently don't fly with this guy. Once airbourne and free to move about the cabin.......Frankie announced.............FLY TIKI OTTO's in the AIR is now open and prepared to serve...........next thing you know ceramic Gods of Passion Punch and Judy with Propane Rum and then some, complete with silver blue Parasols and all were being enjoyed by most of the passengers.........the flight attend ant was none too pleased but wingless...............how Mr. Wood was able to get all these larger than 4 oz. liquids on board is still a mystery..........but let's just say it pays to know someone who works at the air, port.
We arrived on the strip. I immediately lost three $20's......one to luck, one to thirst and one to I am a knucklehead.........I like to think someone found that twenty and gambled it and is living high off the hog......now.
What impressed me most about Vegas
Not the lights, not the sounds, not the tight tight I mean taught dresses......uh actually those did impress me.......gimme 32 seconds.......okimback............what else really left an impression?
Rob Ruckus not only does he cover up bad tats.....He also runs the show at The Double Down Saloon in Vegas where only the courageous and adventurous ones that leave the Strip shall ever find.......(The Wizard walked it.........Twice!) ... btw.......Rob was there but Dirk had issues and so we will have to reschedule our second (after a great show at Otto's (Rules!) ) time sharing a bill with The
Vermin........What else really impressed me.......Vegas has a reputation.....for plastic.....and weasels.....and Kenny G.
met some real nice and real warm people out there......among them..........Ida and her Rochester man...Ida is a super cool person who represented the hospitality of the people of Vegas.............yeah New Yorkers in Vegas of courses..............bring the real deal like Mya Lansky sort of.......Bugs Bunny.......The Double Down Saloon.....our name in lights!! Those lights impressed me. The Lords of the Damned...from L.A. la land.......but I am ahead of myself.........back up..........there were three nights..........Thursday night was the first night so we made Pilgrimage to Frankies Tiki Room of! It impressed your author that a man from three time zones away does not pay for his drinks.....They are on the house.....or in this case..............Cabana..............fool side.......the bar is a bandit but the bandit is ignored locally.....at least......someone was celebrating another year of life...........and then off to.....................
